Your packing list

We are happy to help you plan your trip carefully so that your stay in Belgium is as pleasant as possible!
  • Adapter—Bring an adapter to use your electrical equipment.
  • Entertainment—Feel free to bring entertainment items such as a laptop, music, books, magazines, crossword puzzles, etc. Your room will have satellite TV with Netflix. You will likely spend most of the first few days after surgery resting.
  • Personal items that make you smile—stuffed animals, Bible, family photos, etc.
  • Comfortable clothing and pajamas—Some patients wear pajamas for the entire week after surgery, and that’s okay! Avoid wearing clothes that are tight-fitting. Clothes with zippers that don’t have to be pulled over your head are the most comfortable. Comfort is more important than fashion!
  • Concealer—Patients still have bruises after 1 week. You need a good concealer if you want to cover your bruises.
  • Scarf—If you want to take a walk around the neighborhood or go to the nearby park, and when you return home, a scarf can be useful to cover the face so that you may feel more comfortable.
  • Sunglasses—These are also useful for hiding puffy eyes and/or bruises.
  • Your Glasses—If you wear contact lenses and have surgery done around your forehead and eyes, you may not be able to wear them after surgery. So bringing your glasses would be a must!
  • Spare pajamas—Some fluid loss from the incision sites is common once you start moving around. Bring a spare pair of pajamas. This will be the case for the first 24 hours, especially if you have had liposuction.
  • No blender!—We have one in the guesthouse, so you don't need to bring one. We also offer balanced food that is specially selected to be easy to eat after surgery.
  • Slippers—So you can walk around safely during your stay. The floors can be a bit slippery if you are only wearing socks. Keep in mind that your vision may be worse for a while after surgery. Make sure the slippers are closed, otherwise they can be a safety hazard.
