A telltale sign of facial aging is excess skin above and below the eyes. It is common to correct these bags and drooping eyelids during a Facial Feminization Surgery.
Procedure
Incisions are made in the natural folds or creases of the eyelids.
Underlying fat can be removed, excess skin is cut away along the natural crease of the eyelid.
The incisions are closed with a very fine suture.
Recovery
It takes one to two weeks for the swelling and bruising to subside, but then it takes at least several months for the final result to stabilize. Depending on the extent of the procedure, the surgery takes about an hour.
The stitches will be removed approximately five days after the operation.
