Three steps to obtain an FFS quote

Take good digital photos

In order to prepare your quotation and FFS simulation, we need the following 5 photos:

Some important notes about these photos

  • Neutral Background—Choose a neutral background. A closed door in a well-lit room is best.
  • Hair tight—Make sure your hair doesn't cover any part of your face.
  • Makeup—Try to avoid heavy makeup so Dr. Bart van de Ven can make a good assessment of your natural facial features. Light make-up is no problem.
  • Facial hair—If you are still bothered by facial hair, you may want to remove it before taking photos. With facial hair, a good simulation of the possible outcome is not possible.
  • Don't look up—Make sure the eye-ear plane is perfectly horizontal. This means that the top edge of your tragus (the middle part of the ear) should be aligned with the bottom part of your eye socket, as shown in the examples below. It helps to pretend that you have a stack of books on top of your head.
People naturally tend to look up when a photo is taken. It helps to pretend that you have a stack of books on top of your head.
  • Take your photos up close—It's important that your face makes up at least 80% of the photo, otherwise the resolution will be too low to properly assess.
  • No selfies—Photos are always distorted when you take selfies. Ask a friend or family member to take the photos for you.
