'🎖️ Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau
To my great surprise, last Friday, April 25, I was awarded the Royal Decoration of Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau in Antwerp.
The award ceremony took place in private at the Ambassador's Residence and was performed by Consul General Karen van Stegeren.
I am deeply touched by this honor and grateful for the beautiful words, the warm presence of loved ones and the special atmosphere of this day.
With amazement, pride and emotion I look back on a moment that I will never forget.'
The doctor is known worldwide for his achievements in the field of aesthetic facial surgery and in particular Facial Feminization Surgery.
He obtained his medical (MD), dental (DMD) and doctorate (PhD) degrees from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands.
He currently works as a consultant in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department in two different clinics in Antwerp and the surrounding area, in collaboration with certified Cranio-Maxillo-Facial surgeons and a plastic surgeon.
He is a member of the Dutch, Belgian and European Association for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the Dutch Association for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and a member of the European Academy for Aesthetic Facial Surgery.
Facial Feminization Surgery
He is one of the pioneers in the field of Facial Feminization Surgery and has developed procedures that have been adopted by many of his colleagues.
He has trained other oral and plastic surgeons in innovative techniques and procedures within this field.
Dr. Frans Noorman van der Dussen developed surgical procedures that leave no visible scars and ensure a fast recovery. These procedures combine operations on the bone structure and soft tissues in a single surgical procedure. The advantage of this is that all anatomical units in the face can be harmoniously aligned with each other.
